The RR Section protects public safety by ensuring that all nurses and midwifes in MOH facilities and wider meet minimum criteria to practice in the UAE. The Section thus develops, enacts and monitors regulatory requirements for nurses and midwives, maintains a coherent and current database (register) of registered nurses and midwives in the MOH and wider as agreed. The Section also collaboratively develops, publishes, implements and monitors other regulatory mechanisms such as but not limited to the Nursing Practice Act, Scope of Practice documents and Profession-type Discipline.
